The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce claims that more than 70 companies and over 1,000 retail outlets have agreed to offer promotional offers, giveaways and discounts to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the handover.
According to a press release posted on the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce website, the promotional period will start next Thursday with retailers like Broadway, Sasa, Prince Jewellery, Tai Hing, Luk Fook Jewellery, and Wing On giving discounts on products ranging from jewellery to bird’s nest and offering stuff at bargain prices like HK$1 dim sum and free milk tea.
