Hongkongers don’t have much of a reputation for being sunny and smiley, so here’s a chance to crack that icy cold veneer.
A regular at UK festivals and a household name in most British living rooms, funnyman Marcus Brigstocke is bringing his “Why The Long Face” tour to Hong Kong’s Punchline Comedy Club on Oct. 15, 16 and 17.
With a great reception at this year’s Edinburgh Festival, the act explores the various stages of human happiness through comedy that exercises your brain as well as your abs.
As the Daily Telegraph puts it, “Rare is the stand-up show that makes you laugh, think and then fight back the tears. This is it.”
Let’s hope we don’t have to fight back too many tears. We’ve enough to moan about already, god darn it!
