VIDEO: Your scarf is made of fur ripped off live, shrieking bunnies

PETA released a video of Chinese farmers violently ripping the fur off live angora rabbits bound to a bench, which has gone viral.

Angora rabbits are gentle and intelligent animals prized for their soft, fluffy, and warm fur. 90% of Angora fur comes from China, where there are no standards to regulate animal cruelty.

The fur is sold to mega fashion retailers like Zara and H&M to make their coats, scarves, gloves and other accessories.

These poor rabbits endure the process of being tethered and having their fur ripped off, alive and shrieking, every three months for five years until they die. Many of them live their lives in shock

Whatever way you are keeping warm this winter, we sure hope it isn’t Angora fur.
