A Hong Kong fashion shoot… with a 0.3 megapixel toy camera

Hongkongers have a bad case of gadget mania and are avid subscribers of the idea that the more expensive your camera, the better your photo.

But talent trumps gear any day of the week, as proved by Lara Jade, a renowned fashion photographer, who was put to the test by DigitalRev TV, a photography YouTube channel based in Hong Kong.

The fashion shoot assignment was simple enough, but she was given a plastic Anpanman (AKA Bread Superman) toy camera with a grand total of 0.3 megapixels, making photographs that are of even worse quality than your first camera phone.

The thing doesn’t even come with a viewfinder or a screen: you use the toy’s plastic frame to compose your pictures.

Here’s the video of the whole challenge:

Jade delivered, and the photos still look pretty awesome:

Now don’t all go rushing to buy your own Anpanman 0.3MP camera!
