Prolific Hong Kong photographer Patrick ‘Power Up’ Cheung has released his latest time lapse video, this time featuring Brandon Ho from local hip-hop group 24 Herbs floating through the city “Ghost Style”.
Cheung employs standard time lapse techniques along with additional hyper-lapse skills to show Ho making his way around 10 Hong Kong locations, gliding motionless along the ground, levitating, bum surfing in the lotus position…the list goes on!
Commissioned as the official video for 24 Herb’s “Love Never Dies” track, the feat was created from approximately 6,000 photographs, taken on two-hour shoots that saw Ho employing the same poses multiple times.
In one shot the musician even rotates his hats and shirts constantly, which Cheung explained required an outfit change every 25 frames. Lady Gaga eat your heart out!
No wonder it took a year in the making. We think you’ll agree that the end result if worth it though.
