This charming video of old Hong Kong has been making the rounds among HK Facebook users. It’s unknown who made the video or when exactly it was filmed, but by our very unscientific estimates we’re guessing it’s in the early 1960s. What we love about this video is that unlike many other similar videos that are ruined by kitschy, vaguely Asian music, we can hear the real sounds of what life in Hong Kong was like by then.
The original poster of the video, Yoyo Lam, said: “An extremely precious video! Every Hongkonger should share this video on their Facebook page! We can all reminisce a bit about Hong Kong under British rule.”
