Bubble soccer is one of the wacky sports that Hongkongers can now play, among other new activities like trampolining, zombie running etc… But this may be the only sport where constant hysterical laughter is guaranteed, with all players donning a plastic inflated bubble suit that encloses the player from head to the knees. Wearing the suit encourages if not mandates full-speed collisions with opposing players, and you might even end up upside-down, legs helplessly dangling in the air.
The game can be played with as few as two to as many of five a side, with no goalkeepers, and matches are limited to 8-10 minutes due to the fact that players eventually dissolve into a sweaty, steamy, suffocated mess inside the bubble, reports news.gov.hk.
Check out this video that the Hong Kong government decided to make for whatever reason:

Rudy Yiu brought the game to Hong Kong after he discovered it in Australia early this year, thinking it would “help Hong Kong people lighten up and have fun while being physically active”.
The bubble soccer company does not have its own venue, meaning you have to book your own or use their own preferred venue in Tsuen Wan. Click here for more info.
