Fishermen culture in Hong Kong will finally get its due with a “Tale of the Fishnet” art extravaganza organized by Project Artist X (PAX) and the CADENZA.
The exhibition will include art installations, ceramic artwork, and photography created by local primary and secondary local students as well as elderly participants. There will be also fishnet knitting workshop and a talk by Director Machi who is an expert in Hong Kong fisherman culture. The project will be held at Sheung Wan, Wing Lee street at G7 centre until July 29.
“We aim at promoting the preservation of the fishermen culture in Hong Kong through various art related activities that are open to the Hong Kong people, tourists and art lovers of all ages. In addition to art exhibitions, there will be fishnet art and craft making workshops and concerts throughout the two-month long programme. It is part of our continuous efforts to use art as a medium to facilitate the development of a caring and inclusive culture in Hong Kong.” said Julia Ip, Executive Director of PAX.
