Out of this world! ‘BBC Planet Earth in Concert’ coming to Hong Kong

Even people who hate TV love the BBC’s Planet Earth. Amazingly high-def images of mind-blowing, rarely seen nature stuff set to rousing music and the comfortingly posh voice of British broadcasting legend David Attenborough – there’s a bunch of reasons we’re all gaga for it.

If you’re a nature show adrenaline junkie and you really want to be shaken and stirred, however, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra is going to get you tingling big time next month.

Join them for the touring spectacle that is “BBC Planet Earth in Concert” on Feb. 6 & 7. Your eyes will be treated to stunning footage on the big screen – ranging from the dry-sculpted crescents of the Sahara to the glistening polar icecaps – while your ears embrace the full force of the score, courtesy of the HK Phil Orchestra led by conductor Benjamin Northey.

Mr. Attenborough will unfortunately not be in attendance, but he’s probably busy chasing a snow leopard somewhere while whispering excitedly into a camera.

That’s kind of what he does.
