Oh no! We might not get to see the chief executive’s daughter on the big screen

Chai-yan Leung, daughter of Chief Executive CY Leung, is facing legal proceedings after going AWOL from her first movie project titled “Male Extreme Search Light”.

We don’t even want to ask.

Director of the movie, Wynn Lau, said the aspiring actress has not been in contact with the production crew for almost two weeks despite signing a contract last month.

Speaking to the SCMP, director Lau said, “We are fed up with her. If she fails to show up or give a concrete reply soon, we may have to consider legal action,” adding that her unprofessionalism has disrupted the filming schedule, which was due to commence this Sunday.

Lau, who is best known in the Hong Kong cinema world for producing adult movies, said that he does not regret signing the 23-year-old, but will not hesitate to drop her from the project altogether.

“We will find another actress if we must. Maybe the production will be smoother without her,” he mused.

Amidst the unfolding drama, Leung announced that the matter has been handed over to her lawyer.

Ever the enterpriser, she’ll surely have something else on the boil soon, like dog walking or modelling.
