Anson Lo from popular Canto-pop boy band Mirror has joined the star-studded cast of zombie film Chungking Mansions, according to a Variety report.

The film — directed by British producer Bizhan Tong — also features an international cast, including acclaimed actress Selena Lee, fellow Hong Kong-Canadian actress Jeannie Chan, Choi Si-hun of Single’s Inferno fame, and Hong Kong actor Louis Cheung.

They join Japanese action star Rina Takeda and Singaporean actors Desmond Tan and Rebecca Lim, who were previously announced.

Davika Hoorne — who starred in Pee Mak, Thailand’s highest grossing film of all time — will also join the cast.

Variety reports that the film is currently in advanced preparation.

Billed as Hong Kong’s biggest zombie film in history, the film tells the story of a group of people from across the globe climbing the iconic Chungking Mansions building amidst a zombie outbreak in the city.

Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, the sprawling complex — which was also featured in Wong Kar-wai’s Chungking Express — is the home to a maze of multicultural shops and restaurants.

According to Variety, Lo plays a young professional who is touring the building when an outbreak happens.

Mirror has taken Hong Kong by storm with its catchy tunes and the members’ down-to-earth personalities.

Lo also has a successful solo career, including hits like Megahit, and starring in Hong Kong’s first BL drama Ossan’s Love and comedy Showbiz Spy.

The MAMA award winner recently released a vampire-themed single Mr Stranger, which has more than 5 million views on YouTube.
