Those who choose to study art seldom expect to make it big. If you’re an art student or graduate who’s given up on your dreams (no doubt after prolonged parental nagging), you have just THREE DAYS to give it one last shot.
The 2015 New Art Wave International Artist Award is searching the world for the next big thing.
Until Wednesday, any student or graduate from any visual arts academy across the globe can submit their work for a chance to be selected as one of 100 to be exhibited in Macau this summer.
Just a tad of competition then!
The work can be anything from finger painting to photography, as long as it was completed during or after 2010.
The 100 winning artists will be selected by a prestigious judging panel (what other kind is there?), and given their OWN SOLO BOOTH to sell their stuff at the New Art Wave Expo at the Venetian Macau, which will run from Aug. 28-30.
Out of these 100, the judges will also pick Gold, Silver and Bronze applicants, who will bag an extra USD10,000 (USD77,500), USD8,000 (HKD62,000) or USD5,000 (HKD38,760), respectively, in the Best of Artists Award.
