Think the Southside bunch are living the dream here in Hong Kong? You ain’t seen nothing until you’ve witnessed the glamour and decadence of American and European high society of yesteryear.

In celebration of the life and work of Slim Aarons (1916 – 2006), Central’s Picture This Gallery is hosting a newly launched collection of dozens of the revered photojournalist’s most iconic shots.

After enlisting to the US Army in 1941 and acting as a combat photographer during World War II, Aarons turned his lens to the undeniably more colourful and less traumatising sun-drenched lives of the American aristocracy, Hollywood stars and deep-pocketed jet-setters.

Party in Bermuda
His work has been published in Town and Country, Holiday Vogue and LIFE, and would look JUST FABULOUS by your rooftop daybed looking down over Repulse Bay.
