Can’t travel to Japan? Fear not, because Japan is coming to you.

More accurately speaking, it’s coming to Causeway Bay—and by “it,” we mean Don Don Donki, the one-stop shop Japanese megastore that puts all discount retailers to shame.

Following the opening of the two Donki outlets in Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsuen Wan, the new branch of the popular store is set to open July 7 on Paterson Street. It will be the first branch on Hong Kong island.

The new 48,000 square feet outlet will span four floors of shopping mall Pearl City. Similar to its other branches, the Causeway Bay Donki will have a massive selection of everything from Japanese groceries to cosmetic products to electronic appliances.

Besides for being the largest Donki store, the Causeway Bay branch will also have a discount sale section with an array of products starting at just HK$5 (US$0.60).

The Japanese megastore has expanded internationally over the last few years, and now has branches in Singapore, Thailand and the United States.

Donki unveiled their first branch in Hong Kong last July on the basement floor of Tsim Sha Tsui’s Mira Mall. It has since opened a second in Tsuen Wan.
