Traditionally, it’s good luck for people to get new haircuts for the Lunar New Year. But it’s probably even more auspicious to get your hair cut by your dad, especially if your father happens to be Jackie Chan.
Jaycee Chan, who was released on Valentine’s Day after a six-month jail sentence for marijuana-related charges, posted two photos of him getting his haircut on Weibo.
His father, looking sporty in a bright blue outfit, is shown cutting his son’s hair with a smile on his face as his mother looks on.
It’s his first update on the social network since his release.
He captioned the photos with “begin from the heart” in Chinese, which is either poetic wordplay or a typo, as it sounds identical to the phrase “start from new”.
Chan earlier apologised to the public for his actions.
