Street art is gradually becoming more of a common sight in Hong Kong, and it seems that in our city, nobody – not even graffiti artists – can resist a little competition.
After an initial round featuring eight street artists and a semi-final featuring four, Secret Walls and Havaianas will be hosting the showdown between the two remaining contestants, who will battle it out this Friday night.
In the ring is Bao, an impromptu artist who’s never even studied art, and Jay Pelmet, a champion of the local art scene who incidentally deejayed at the very first Clockenflap fest in 2006.
Aside from these celebrated talents, there will also be DJs spinning tracks and playing actual vinyl sets, with hip hop, funk, and disco tunes to be expected.
Trust us. There’s nobody better than the folks at Secret Walls to put on a night of wall-shaking spectacle.
