A group of Hong Kong women reportedly spent over HK$10 million to invite Korean TV drama “My Love From the Star” actor Kim Soo-hyun to a private banquet. That’s a lot of money, considering that even A-list Hong Kong actors like Tony Leung, Andy Lau, and Louis Koo charge between HK$1.2 million to HK$1.5 million for an appearance. “My Love from the Star” is all the rage in Hong Kong now, with peak popularity in China and Taiwan as well despite having ended in late February.
