Hong Kong social enterprise group ReStore has launched a range of six new signature scented candles.

With scents including leather & juniper, salt & sea, cashmere vanilla, white tea, citrus punch and cotton fields, there is something for everyone.

For example, the leather & juniper scent comes with bold notes of leather and smoke, and hints of amyris, musk and moss, as well as a blend of fresh evergreens and fruits.

Meanwhile, the cotton fields scent features airy ozone and powder notes that open up to a floral heart of lily of the valley, iris and cotton blossom. Light musk and violet ground this fragrance, which is custom blended with the scent of freshly cut grass, with a light woody base.

The candles are made with soy wax, which is safe for children, pets, and expectant mothers.

The social enterprise supports people coming out of sexual exploitation to reclaim a life of independence and freedom by providing them with an alternative career path.

The proceeds from the sale of each hand-poured candle go directly to the artisans building up their new careers, helping to fund their further training and education, as well as helping to provide them with business start-up or employment opportunities.

ReStore’s scented candles are now available for sale at www.restoreshop.org for HK$240 (US$31) each.
