We all see weird and wonderful fashion statements in Hong Kong every day. Whether we love them or hate them, sometimes Snapchatting your finds to a friend or five just doesn’t seem enough.
These superlatives of style need to be shared with the world!
Enter Facebook page Hong Kong Fashion Victims, your one-stop shop for sharing, laughing at and rejoicing in the clothing choices of Hong Kong’s eclectically styled society.
Created in September 2012, the page has more than 4,000 fans, but we believe it’s deserving of a few more. Take a few minutes to read down their timeline and try not to release a guilty giggle or two. We bet you’ll fail.
Hong Kong Fashion Victims claims to simply observe the trends on the street, and insists the posts are not intended to offend and reflect solely on the opinion of contributors.
It also occasionally reposts some of our fashion-focussed articles – such as the wonderful story of three men smuggling meth in handbags – so we thought we’d return the favour.
Here are some of our favourite posts from recent weeks:
No-one was mean about this one, obvs
A simple thing like letter order can make a big difference to your statement t-shirt
Someone’s in the market for a marmalade sandwich
They even have a Photo Of The Month competition
High-end shops are not safe either
Some bags are angry
Others are just plain rude!
If you have something to share, send Hong Kong Fashion Victims a private message with your photo attached. You can remain anonymous or proudly claim your post.
