Hey all you hipsters – fess up that you go nuts for all things vintage.
Let HMV add to your fun shaped glasses, effortless “thrifted” style and not so mainstream lifestyle, as they present “The Rebirth of Cool”.
The event will take place on Saturday Sept. 12 in HMV’s revamped vinyl room, where iPhones, CDs and even cassette tapes (Google it) are probably not allowed.
Between 2:30pm and 4pm, passionate vinyl spinners, including vocalist Leung Pak Ting of a local indie rock band The Yours, will be sharing a series of records in an attempt to bring wax back.
“The Rebirth of Cool” also has a financial element, as HMV is offering both free entry and a voucher for buy-one-get-one of either wine or beer.
Not on records though. It’s still cool to pay full price for them.
