Why obsess over someone online when you can swoon over them in real life?
After a sold-out performance on May 30, Irma returns to Hong Kong with her “Face to Face” tour.
Born in Cameroon to a guitarist father and a choir-singer mother, Irma moved to France at the age of 15 for school. By 19, she began to upload her self-composed songs (“Letters to the Lord”, “Somehow”) and covers to YouTube, eventually attracting collaboration from international artists, such as will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas.
Yeah, he’s a bit of a chump, but you’ve got to grab what you can when you’re first starting out.
The French-Cameroonian folk-pop singer will be bringing her “music-meets-light” show to the Vine Centre at 8pm on Saturday, Sept. 18.
Tickets start from HKD380 to see her live, so we guess she’s kind of a big deal now.
