Hong Kong may be on the other side of the world from the States, but the drama, homicide and celebrity female criminals of Chicago will be knocking around Wan Chai for one night only on Saturday Sept. 19.
After a short summer break, the Hong Kong Open Air Cinema Club resumes its monthly film screenings, beginning with the all-time classic dark comedy musical.
For the uninitiated, the film uses the famous midwest city as the backdrop for a story set in the 1920s, when the public became rather obsessed with the idea of women committing homicide.
The “razzle dazzle” show satirises both the press and public for treating such criminals as celebrities – but in the most fun and fabulous way possible, of course.
The film will be shown on the roof of The Phoenix on Luard Road. The ticket price includes two drinks (assorted soft drinks, Prosecco or beers) and snacks.
WARNING: Ladies attending should try their best not to extravagantly murder the next douche they encounter on stepping out into the streets of Wan Chai after the screening.
