CY’s daughter Chai bags 7-part interview on Cable TV

It’s official, Chai-yan Leung is on a PR offensive.

After speaking to Chinese language newspaper East Week and giving her first English interview to HK Magazine in recent weeks, the eldest daughter of Hong Kong’s embattled chief executive is now coming to a small screen near you!

Chai has inexplicably landed herself a seven-part (yep, you read that right) interview series on entertainment news show CEN.

The first segment of the show will air at 7pm tonight on Cable TV channel 12 and high-definition channel 212.

The 23-year-old, best known for revealing waaay too much information over her social media networks, has promised to lay her heart bare and reveal more about her relationship with her father, CY Leung.

Just a week ago she said he was a robot who seldom says “I love you”, so it should be pretty juicy stuff.

In her first interview with English language press last week, Chai told HK Magazine that she has suffered from depression and was “pretty familiar with the insides of a London ambulance” when attending the London School of Economics.

Alarm bells were first raised that she wasn’t in the best of mental health last year when she posted photos of her slashed wrists to Facebook. More recently she has posted numerous quotes about suicide to her Facebook page.

It seems Chai is making a concerted effort to turn things around and think positive, however, even reportedly appearing in a fashion show in Wan Chai last Friday, weeks after a modelling agency leaked her apparent application to the press.
