South African-born, Zurich-based artist Conor Mccreedy is fast becoming a phenomenon, having sold a remarkable five works in 48 hours at the Swiss Fair Kunst 14, and even getting his signature pigment “Mccreedyblue” named after him within art circles. The inaugural public programme of the “4th Nobel Laureates Symposium on Global Sustainability” will see some of the greatest in their field debate the causes and solutions of climate change in Hong Kong tonight. Co-organised by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Asia Society Hong Kong, the talk promises to be the most eye-opening and relevant conversation you’ll have eavesdropped on all year. In its third consecutive year, Kids Ocean Day returns to Repulse Bay. A thousand students from local schools will hit the beach with buckets, spades and enthusiasm, in order to create an amazing aerial art spectacle. The fun and interactive event is designed to motivate children to appreciate, protect and care about their beaches and the ocean’s ecosystem. More details.

After emerging as a photographer of 1960s rock and pop music – notably with a couple of small-time bands called The Beatles and The Rolling Stones – Terry O’Neill moved to the USA and became the top choice for generations of Hollywood stars looking for iconic portraits. The therefore aptly named exhibition ICONS brings O’Neill’s work to Hong Kong for the very first time. More details.
