‘Call Me Maybe’ singer Carly Rae Jepsen to perform in Hong Kong this fall

Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, artist behind the greatest earworm of 2012, will be performing in Hong Kong this October.

Entertainment company Live Nation HK made the announcement on its Facebook page on Monday, sharing the news that Rae will be coming into town to perform at Rotunda 2, KITEC on Oct. 25 as part of her tour to promote her most recent album, Dedicated.

Tickets are HK$850 and will go on sale on Cityline starting at 10am on August 30.

Jepsen started her career by competing in Canadian Idol, in which she finished in third place. Since then, she has won a Billboard Music Award, Canada’s Juno Awards, and has been nominated for the Grammy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and the MTV Video Music Awards.

She is best known for the inescapable 2012 summer hit Call Me Maybe, as well other pop confections like I Really Like You (the music video of which stars Tom Hanks and, very briefly, Justin Bieber), Cut to the Feeling, Party for One, Run Away With Me, and Emotion.
