Help find abducted baby girl

A six-month old baby girl was snatched from her mother in Kowloon City at about 7:30pm on Saturday.

The mother was pushing her baby girl in a stroller along Carpenter Road towards Kowloon City Plaza when a woman, with a heavy mainland accent, asked her for directions.

After helping the woman with directions, the mother found her baby was gone, and remembered a person walking by quickly when she was helping with directions.

The mainland woman was wearing a black top and blue jeans, aged between 40 and 50 and about 1.6m tall, medium build.

Border officials are on high alert, as the baby abducted is believed to be smuggled to the mainland.

The baby girl’s mother has posted on Facebook urging Hongkongers to help as the more clues within the first 72 hours of abduction is critical to the likelihood of her daughter being found.

A Facebook website to help find gather clues about the case has attracted nearly 70,000 likes.
