This weekend: Hong Kong’s first heavy metal festival, Heart-Town

Art Basel, Clockenflap, North Sea Jazz Festival… But we didn’t have it all, as now Hong Kong is hosting its first heavy metal festival too—Heart-Town—and it’s happening this weekend! We’ve come a long way from the days of the 2003 Harbour Fest.

So head on down to KITEC in Kowloon Bay to get sweaty in a mosh pit from Aug. 8-10. Harcore local bands like Chockma, Kolor and Underklot will be playing in between American and British acts like Architects, While She Sleeps and Finch.

The festival, the brainchild of Taiwanese native Jimmy Liu, is also happening simultaneously in Taiwan.

Tickets (available at Cityline):

One day: HKD480

Three day: HKD780

KITEC: 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong
