If you love GOOD techno music, you’re going to find this very exciting.
Dave Clarke – the man dubbed the “Baron of Techno” by late UK radio legend John Peel – is bringing his well-honed noise to Hong Kong for the very first time!
Glow sticks at the ready, guys.
If you don’t know Clarke then you don’t know techno, as his name has been virtually synonymous with the dance genre for more than 25 years.
A runaway from Brighton, England, Clarke spent his younger years sleeping in parks and on beaches, picking up the odd DJing job to get by.
But since his debut release on XL Recordings in 1990, however, the man with the mad mix has cranked up everyone from Moby and Leftfield to New Order and Depeche Mode.
He now lives in Amsterdam – as any self-respecting rugged music icon should – in between touring the world’s best clubs and festivals.
Dance your derrière off to his sick beats on Volar on Friday, May 29, where the big man will be supported by Push residents Frankielam, AKW and Lukas.
