Heads up, whisky aficionados. If you’ve been sniffing around for a new bottle to add to the collection, how about a bottle of Copper Dog? It’s a new blended malt whisky that promises a smooth and refreshing sip.

Expertly blended from 8 different single Speyside malt scotch whiskies, this amber-colored number is as Scottish as it gets. It makes for quite the refreshing sip, with hints of peach, apple and orange peel, perfectly complemented by notes of honey and spice (and everything nice). Expect ripe fruit with just a hint of citrus on the nose, with a creamy and nutty finish on the palate.

Now, there’s no one right way to enjoy your whisky, whether you like it neat or in a cocktail, but we’d recommend an Apple Dog — simply mix Copper Dog whisky with freshly squeezed Granny Smith green apple juice, and serve in a lowball cup over ice.

The rich mouthfeel every glass of Copper Dog provides is accompanied by an equally rich history. Everything about this whisky is reminiscent of classic Speyside tradition.

We’re talking about of course, its unique name. No, it’s not about a four-legged friend like you would think, but rather it’s a tribute to the distillery workers of Speyside from back in the day. Named after a device traditionally used by those distillery workers to smuggle whisky straight from the cask to bring home, Copper Dog is the perfect scotch for easy drinking. Downing a glass of Copper Dog is like sipping on a piece of Scottish history — Speyside in a glass, if you will.

Copper Dog is available in stores now in Hong Kong.
