Shimmy, sweat and bet at Happy Wednesday’s Summer Samba Splash parties

Hong Kong’s famous Happy Wednesday races can do nothing at this time of year but simply celebrate the sweat.

That’s why for the next two weeks, the Happy Valley Racecourse will be hosting a wet and wild Brazilian party “fully loaded with as many throbbing beats as racing heats”.

The concept is apparently an attempt to bridge the gap between the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, because that’s how important a night at the races in Hong Kong is.

Whatever the excuse though, it’s time to say “hell yes!” to humidity, with sexy samba dances, Brazilian-inspired cocktails and South American spirit galore.

And if you’re still too hot, world-renowned clothing shredder Adman Saaks will show you how to lose a few layers the stylish way as he takes his scissors to the wears of a consenting woman live on stage.

Oh yeah… and there’ll be some horse races or something.
