Lantau Islanders no longer need to travel all the way to downtown Hong Kong to get their burger fix as Shake Shack is opening its seventh location at the Citygate Outlets in Tung Chung next Monday.
Featuring a 3,921-square foot space with indoor and outdoor seating, the new Shack will be the first to introduce the limited-time-only Avocado Bacon menu available from next Monday to May 15.
On the menu are two new burgers – the Avocado Bacon Burger (cheeseburger topped with fresh avocado, all-natural applewood-smoked bacon and ShackSauce) and the Avocado Bacon Chicken (crispy chicken breast with fresh avocado, all-natural applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo).
For those with a sweet tooth, the new Shack will also offer an exclusive new concrete – the Tung Chung Pop Trail – featuring vanilla frozen custard blended with salted caramel sauce, peanut butter and Shan Shau Jok peanut brittle topped with caramel popcorn.
Five percent of proceeds from the sales of the Tung Chung Pop Trail concrete will go to the InspiringHK Sports Foundation.
To mark its seventh location in the city, Shake Shack has also collaborated with local artist Bo Law to create a permanent in-shack #Shackventure mural using a color palette that reflects the surrounding natural landscape of Tung Chung and inspired by the classic Flying Chess board game.
The first 100 fans in line when the doors open next Monday at 12pm will also receive an exclusive Citygate Shack tote bag and T-shirt.
