Prepare to Nom: Starstreet Precinct’s Gourmet & Wine Walk 2014 will be in Hong Kong soon!

Who needs family and friends when you’ve got food and drink to keep you company? If you’ve been silently shedding a tear at the thought of Hong Kong wrapping up its run of summer food festivals, fear not foodies/fatties. Starstreet Precinct’s Gourmet & Wine Walk 2014 is here to save the day!

Combining hipster lifestyle and swanky dining, Starstreet Precinct’s Gourmet & Wine Walk will see Hongkongers treated to an irresistible selection of scrummy snacks, fine wines, boutique shopping experiences and carnival-like events on Oct. 25 from 2pm to 6pm. We can’t think of a better way to spend a glorious October afternoon.

With early-bird tickets just HKD300 before Sept. 30 (ouch, that’s still gonna hurt the wallet a little), you’ll be free to sample tidbits from 18 different eateries, including authentic French restaurant Chez Patrick Deli, hearty Italian diner Ciacoe, Spanish hot spot Plaza Mayor and Japanese barbecue sensation Woo Tung Yakiniku Dining Bar. Slim’s, Castello del Vino will also be dishing out the tipples (very important), while 2/3 Dolci will be serving up something special for those with a sweet tooth.

With performances from indie folk band 9 Maps and Kestrels & Kites, 3D artists and bicycle shows (whatever the hell that is), the afternoon is sure to be a little different, if not a hoot. There will also be a rather complicated-sounding Instagram “Starstreet Smiles” photo competition (more details at the event), but it’s probably worth the effort, as the top prize is a HKD3,500 travel voucher from Swire!

Those with an eye for design can check out various one-of-a-kind furniture stores and lifestyle shops offering one-off “ah-mazing” discounts. Stores such as Igloo Homeware, Nordic Apparel, new perfume maker Le Labo, and accessories retailer Vein are just a few to keep an eye out for.

The best part? It’s all in the name of charity! Proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards Arts with the Disabled Association (ADA), which supports the development of disabled local artists. Don’t resent that ticket price quite so much now, huh?

So, even if you haven’t got human friends, pick up a ticket here and swing by for some lip-smacking fun, because really, food is the only thing you can rely on, right?
