Hong Kong isn’t known for its grimy hipster scene. But an unofficial coalition of local DJs and event managers is on a mission to change that.
The people behind production company “Fresh Off the Boat” are collaborating with Sessions HK to throw a ‘secret’ party in an Ap Lei Chau industrial warehouse this Saturday. It’s just the kind of down-dirty, super-cool party, usually seen in Adidas ads, that Hong Kong sorely needs.

F.O.B. has corralled a number of Hong Kong’s top DJs to perform, including Fly’s Eve Speciall and XXX’s DJ Enso and DJ Yao. Joining them are Yasmin from London and the gender-bending Mykki Blanco of “Wavvy” fame, as well as Session’s own DJs, Rolec and Twinhed.
Expect a mix of hip-hop, grime and dubstep, plus cheap drinks, attractive people and sticky floors.
