The Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s 25th Food Expo has started today! In case you’re new to Hong Kong, let Coconuts give you the lowdown: Hongkongers love food. You might even say that we’re obsessed with it. Think of the annual Food Expo as a massive, delicious homage to our unwavering dedication to all things edible.
The expo is a veritable paradise for culinary enthusiasts, offering attendees the opportunity to sample food and drink from suppliers and manufacturers from all over the world. There will also be a gourmet zone from Aug. 14 – 17, and loads of cool events like cooking demonstrations from renowned chefs, discussions with food critics, competitions and lucky draws.
Additionally, this year sees the very first Home Delights Expo, which was created in response to overwhelming demand from former attendees for a place to buy cooking equipment.
So, take it from us – at HKD40 for an all access ticket, and HKD10 for a Night Admission ticket, there’s really no reason not to mosey down and get chowing this weekend. Just remember to loosen your belts!
