Filipino fusion food by Nicco Santos pop-up at Mrs Pound for two nights only

When Nicco Santos opened Hey Handsome in Manila in 2016, he described the restaurant as “a passion project” and “basically an extension of me”.

With its Filipino twist on Singaporean and Malaysian dishes, Hey Handsome went on to get rave reviews, and was named one of the best new homegrown restaurants of the year in the Philippines.

Not bad for a young chef who travelled around Asia after training in New York.

But for those of you who don’t have time to fly out to Manila, never fear. For two nights only, Hongkongers can get a taste of Santos’ South-East Asian fusion food at Sheung Wan speakeasy Mrs. Pound.

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, and Thursday, Mar. 1, guests will be able to feast on Santos’ signature dishes like Riverprawn and Monkfish Laksa, Lamb Rendang with Cucumber, Beetroot Panner, and Lemongrass Blue Crab with Santol Fruit plus much more.

Mrs Pound will also be providing some of its signature favorites including Steak Char Kway Teow, Baked Cauliflower with Whipped Feta, Cheeseburger Springrolls and Sticky Coffee Ribs.

Don’t forget that Mrs Pound also has its regular Happy Hour from 3pm-7pm on weekdays, with drinks starting from HK$50 and half-price food.

The event will be walk-in only, and the food will be served from 6pm onwards, so hurry before it gets too crowded.
