If you find yourself in need of a refreshing splash on the 28th, look no further than the W. The trendy hotel is hosting a series of pool parties sponsored by Absolut Vodka where you can hone your multitasking skills by indulging in the classic summer combo of drinking, dancing and swimming simultaneously in a rooftop pool.
And to ensure that the soundtrack of your wet hot American summer is sufficiently memorable, W’s resident DJs Romain Fx (alias Fun Key, of the fantastic Cliché Records) and Flora YTW will be spinning house and disco tunes all night – I suspect there’ll be plenty of Balearic beat to go around.
After midnight, the after party begins at WOOBAR, which will have a decidedly more club-like vibe, with body painters, neon lights, and DJ Melohman from Defected Records playing ‘hi-energy sounds’.
Standard tickets (which include one complimentary drink at the pool, and one at the after party) are being sold online for HKD $350 and will be $400 on the door, event starts at 8pm.
If you feel like balling out, the ‘WIP’ tickets (which include free-flow standard drinks and Mumm champagne until 1am) are going for $950 a pop online and $1000 on the door.
