The Cheesecake Factory, that American comfort food restaurant best known from comedies such as The Big Bang Theory and lists such as “the 9 unhealthiest restaurant meals in America“, is opening its first Hong Kong outlet in Tsim Sha Tsui this spring.
All jokes aside, it’s not like Hongkongers are exactly calorie-averse, what with our penchant for deep-fried French toast, pineapple buns with an entire stick of butter inside, and spam with instant noodles.
Eager Hongkongers will be able to sample The Cheesecake Factory’s menu — with over 200 items, only 30-odd of which are desserts — when it opens at Harbour City on Monday, May 1. Better whip out those Joey Tribbiani Thanksgiving trousers, because it sounds like they’re not making any changes for the Hong Kong market.
The latest statement from TCF promises “generous portions” that will make diners “say WOW” and their classic (“SUPER ADDICTIVE!”) brown bread and sourdough basket. Meanwhile, we found this beast of a mac and cheese burger whilst taking a gander at their social media pages:
