Botellón Nation! Mass bring-your-own-bottle party at LKF Amphitheatre tonight

Looking for something to do tonight? Join the thousand or so others who are set to pile into Lan Kwai Fong’s Amphitheatre for this year’s impromptu “Botellón”.

If you’re not Spanish and/or worldly-wise, a Botellón (also meaning “big bottle” in Spanish) is: “typically a nighttime Spanish activity when people congregate in public areas to socialise while drinking alcohol”.

Thanks, Uncle Wiki!

With more than a thousand people saying they’re attending on the event’s Facebook page – despite the fact organisers have promised to limit attendance to 500 in accordance with Hong Kong laws (scoff) – it’s set to be a cosy night out in the open.

DJs and a pinch of live music are on the cards, as well as the “European salt the city is missing” and, of course, great company.

Corkscrews and plastic cups will be provided, so all you need to bring is something to drink and the will to drink it.

Vouloir! Your cheap and cheerful Friday night awaits!.

When: 8pm – 12pm, Friday Feb. 30
