SOULS OF HONG KONG – Retired Mr Wong was photographed in Fo Tan. We caught him playing an instrument he handmade himself. Wong is very creative and enjoys exploring the city, “I like making things. I picked up branches on the streets to make this instrument. I like to play music in different areas of Hong Kong – like today, I’m in Fo Tan when actually I live on Hong Kong Island.”
Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
