Souls of Hong Kong: Malla Anita at Kowloon Park

SOULS OF HONG KONG – Malla Anita from Nepal was photographed when she was enjoying her day-off at Kowloon Park. Malla first came to Hong Kong in 1999 and now works at a Western restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. In the coming year, she wishes everyone in the city has a happy life and hopes people will be willing to help others in need more – Malla believes that helping others will bring joy and hope in return.

Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
