SOULS OF HONG KONG – We met Joe and his lovely two and a half year old son at the Hung Shui Kiu LRT station in Yuen Long. Joe’s New Year wish is that his son gets into a good kindergarten next Sept., “It’s pretty stressful when it comes to applying for kindergartens in Hong Kong. We have already applied for three local schools but we’re planning to apply for one more. We want to make sure he gets into a kindergarten that’s best suited for him.”
Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
