Souls of Hong Kong: Fitz at Tuen Mun Park

SOULS OF HONG KONG – Fitz, a 21-year-old Indonesian domestic helper, was photographed at Tuen Mun Park. She told us about her thoughts on working in Hong Kong, “I have only been working in Hong Kong for seven months…and I’m a bit afraid because some people here look down on us. I don’t regret coming here though because I’m the eldest daughter in my family so I have to earn money to support my younger siblings. My biggest wish is to become a university student.”

Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
