SOULS OF HONG KONG – Esther, a mainland university student majoring in medicine was spotted at the Bamboo Theatre at West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade.
She is looking forward to Chinese New Year as she will be back in Shanghai to see her family. “In Shanghai, people eat dumplings on Chinese New Year Eve. Every family member will make and wrap dumplings while watching the countdown show on TV. This is one of my favorite things to do during the festival.”
Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
