SOULS OF HONG KONG – We met English teacher Mary from Russia at Kowloon Park. She was visiting Hong Kong with her friends, “I teach English in a small and remote town in China where I’m the only foreigner living there so when I’m out and about, people always stare at me curiously. Sometimes it can be quite annoying! Hong Kong is totally different. You can find people of all races and nationalities working in Hong Kong or visiting, and I really appreciate how nice locals are to foreigners.”
Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
