Souls of Hong Kong: Ballet dancer Vivian

SOULS OF HONG KONG – Vivian was spotted at Wan Chai Park. When asked about her favorite hobby, “I love ballet. I have been learning ballet since I was three. I’ll be taking my eighth grade examination soon. Actually, when I first started ballet, my teacher told me I didn’t have the natural talent for dancing but my passion and perseverance kept me going all these years. I definitely faced some difficult times but I didn’t quit because I love ballet a lot.”

Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
