SOULS OF HONG KONG – We met Andy at the Grand Millennium Plaza in Sheung Wan. We asked him about his thoughts on Chinese New Year, “It’s pretty commercial and I can’t quite feel the festive mood in Hong Kong. All you see is a lot of advertisements on TV and on the streets that encourage you to buy food and this and that for the holiday. This is the case for Christmas as well.”
Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
