As bars and clubs have come and gone, one man has been a constant amidst a sea of change in Lan Kwai Fong.
Almost every night, this man can be seen either opening budget boozers’ beers at the nightlife district’s 7-Elevens or greeting streetside revellers, some of whom perform his signature dance move – a finger wag – when they see him approaching.
Many have dubbed this enigmatic figure “Gollum” after the fictional character from the Lord of the Rings. However, not much is actually known about Gollum – not his real name, occupation, or why he parties so much.
With that in mind, our Coconuts TV team set out to LKF to get some answers. Find out what they learned in this video, where we interviewed the man himself (and a few other inebriated individuals):
