Disney princess voice Lea Salonga to sing ‘Let it Go’ (and a bunch of other awesome songs) with HK Philharmonic!

A real-life Disney Princess is in our midst! Lea Salonga, the singing voice of Aladdin’s Princess Jasmine and Mulan (OMG, indeed) will be belting out a bunch of big hitters, including FROZEN’S “LET IT GO” alongside Hong Kong Philharmonic this month.

On Jan. 30 and 31, Asia’s very own Broadway sweetheart and Tony Award winner will also be taking on all-time greatest hits “I Dreamed a Dream” and “On My Own” from Les Misérables; “I’d Give My Life for You” and “Too Much For One Heart” from Miss Saigon; “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina” from Evita; and “Reflection” from Mulan.

They’ll also be a huge medley of Broadway numbers from West Side Story, Cats and a whole lot more, all  accompanied by the super talented HK Phil musicians and conducted by Lea’s brother-bear Gerard Salonga. Their parents must be so proud!

Not to generalise too much, but heads are now no doubt a-spin for 90 percent of Hong Kong women and gay guys, and perhaps five percent of straight guys who are big enough to admit this sounds truly, truly awesome.
