The Songkran holiday brings family and friends together just like Christmas does in the West, but with blistering heat and huge water fights instead of snow and a jolly fat man with a beard.
A video recently shared on Facebook shows one big “family” embracing the holiday by travelling along a main road in Sa Kaeo, east of Bangkok, on the flatbed trailer of a 10-wheeler truck.
The truck is carrying nearly a hundred revellers who are dancing to loud music and generally having a good time.
The partygoers also don’t seem to care about how dangerous their chosen mode of transport is.
The video has been viewed over 600,000 times.
The identity of the revellers remains unknown, but they certainly showed us how much they love Songkran!
