An elderly Thai woman hopped into another person’s taxi and got away with a free ride by preaching life lessons to the driver.
Facebook user Kapoy Kp went on Facebook live yesterday afternoon when a stranger unexpectedly jumped out in front of her taxi…and just invited herself in for a ride.
“This grandma jumped in front of my taxi and hopped in, and the conversation went on as you hear in the clip,” Kapoy wrote.
The video has got over 20,000 views in the past day.
Taxi driver: “Grandma, where are you doing?”
Grandma: “I want to go to the intersection in Bang Sue, where Lotus is. You can drop me off there, and I’ll go my way.”
Taxi driver: “Why didn’t you get another taxi?”
Grandma: “Honey, you’re a good person, and you do good deeds. Don’t doubt your action, and merits will follow.”
Taxi driver: “I have a customer!”
Grandma: “I know. I saw. I got in. I’m not causing anyone that much trouble. Don’t think too much. Don’t think when committing good deeds, but think hard before committing karma.”

Five minutes into the ride, the taxi driver warned her that it’s dangerous to jump out in front of a car, to which she responded, “But you were driving slowly. I saw it. What’s wrong with doing good deeds?”
A few minutes later, she was kicked out of the car as it was going a different route than her destination, to which she condemned the driver for treating her like an animal.
Taxi driver: “Grandma, get off here. We’re going a different route.”
Grandma: “I’ll get out when you reach the intersection.”
Taxi driver: “No, we’re not going that way.”
Grandma: “You’re shooing me like I’m an animal. What’s wrong with committing good deeds?”
